PFL Charlotte Set for August Showdown Featuring Bryan Battle and Dalton Rosta

The Professional Fighters League (PFL) is set to return to North Carolina, bringing an exciting matchup to local fans. On Wednesday, the organization announced that it will host an event on August 7 at Bojangles Coliseum in Charlotte, North Carolina, featuring a middleweight clash between Bryan Battle and Dalton Rosta.

Although originally from Missouri, Battle (12-3, 1 no-contest) has deep roots in Charlotte, where he continues to train. He gained recognition through The Ultimate Fighter 29 but parted ways with the UFC in 2024 due to ongoing weight management issues. After a stint in Dirty Boxing, Battle made his PFL debut in March, where he faced former champion Johnny Eblen and suffered a submission loss.

Rosta (11-3), known for his time in Bellator, joined the PFL in 2025 and reached the finals of that year’s middleweight tournament, ultimately falling to Fabien Edwards. He aimed to bounce back in March but was stopped by Impa Kasanganay.

The event will also showcase two additional middleweight bouts: Josh Silveira will take on Aaron Jeffery, while Josh Fremd faces Jhony Gregory. Silveira (15-5), a regular in the PFL, lost to Kasanganay in the 2023 middleweight tournament finals but recently secured a decision win against Murad Ramazanov. Jeffery (16-6), like Rosta, transitioned from Bellator to PFL in 2025 and narrowly lost a split decision to Rosta last June. Fremd (12-6) has fought in various promotions, with his latest victory coming in BKFC in April, while Gregory (10-5) joined the PFL last year and holds a 1-1 record in the organization, with his most recent win against Haider Khan at PFL Dubai in February.

The main card for PFL Charlotte will be broadcast live on ESPN in the U.S. starting at 10 p.m. ET.
