Pinewood Prep alum pitches Alabama State into the NCAA Tournament
MONTGOMERY, AL (WCBD) – Along with three Palmetto State programs playing in this years road to Omaha. A number of Palmetto State natives will participate as well.
One being Pinewood Prep alum and current pitcher for Alabama State, James Peterson.
James put the Hornets on his back in last weeks SWAC Tournament as he pitched in four games, earning two wins and two saves.
Peterson was on the bump and got the last out to send Alabama State to their third NCAA appearance in D1 program history.
He told News 2 sports, “it was crazy and an experience he’ll never forget.”
The former panther was spurred on last week because he was not chosen for any postseason conference awards. James getting the last laugh as he made the all tournament team.
