Raiders TE Brock Bowers Enthusiastic About Playing with Kirk Cousins

HENDERSON, NV, USA – Las Vegas Raiders tight end Brock Bowers took a moment to express his thoughts on working with quarterback Kirk Cousins during organized team activities at the Intermountain Health Performance Center. The Raiders have recently signed Cousins, and Bowers seems optimistic about the addition as the team navigates another season with a new starting quarterback.

Since Derek Carr's exit, the Raiders have cycled through seven quarterbacks, and this year could see Cousins and Fernando Mendoza take the reins, potentially bringing the total to nine quarterbacks during Bowers’ tenure. Despite the challenges of adjusting to multiple signal-callers, Bowers is looking forward to what Cousins will bring to the field.

“Yeah, he’s a veteran guy, so he’s seen a lot of stuff,” Bowers shared with reporters. “He throws the ball, he’s been around the league a while, so yeah. He’s just a great QB. I mean, it’s hard to find too many things negative about him.”

Bowers is poised to be a key target in the Raiders' offense, serving as a reliable option for both Cousins and Mendoza. Establishing strong chemistry among the quarterbacks and the offense is crucial, and Bowers is ready to step up in that role.

Cousins demonstrated his accuracy during his time in Atlanta last season, achieving an impressive 89.5% Catchable Ball Percentage and a 78.1% On Target Percentage. With his experience and familiarity with offensive coordinator Gary Kubiak, Cousins is expected to integrate smoothly into the Raiders' system.

With Bowers eager to connect with Cousins, it appears the Raiders have made a strategic choice in signing the seasoned quarterback, who may very well elevate the team’s performance this season.
