Sabrina Ionescu injury update: How much time will Liberty star miss?
New York Liberty superstar guard Sabrina Ionescu will reportedly miss the beginning of the regular season with a left ankle injury.
New York Post reporter Madeline Kenney shared on Monday that Ionescu will miss "at least two weeks" with the ankle injury and that Ionescu will be re-evaluated for the injury in two weeks' time.
Kenney adds that an MRI scan showed that Ionescu avoided "significant injury" after rolling her ankle during the third quarter of Sunday's road preseason game against the Connecticut Sun.
That's a tough blow for New York as the team starts its first season under new coach Chris DeMarco, but Ionescu should reportedly return by the end of the month if all goes well.
