Sean McVay Partners with Jordan Brand for Sneaker Endorsement

Endorsement contracts are prevalent among NFL athletes, but it’s uncommon to see coaches land such deals. However, Sean McVay stands out in this regard. According to Pat Benson of Sports Illustrated, McVay has inked a sneaker agreement with the prestigious Jordan Brand, making him the third NFL coach to do so, alongside Sean Payton and Ron Rivera.

This partnership connects McVay not only with the iconic brand but also with players like Puka Nacua, who is among the many NFL athletes endorsed by Jordan. Notably, star wide receiver Davante Adams is also part of the Jordan Brand family.

In a statement to Sports Illustrated, Jordan Brand highlighted McVay's innovative coaching style and his impressive track record. “Recognized as one of the most innovative minds in football, McVay leads with clarity, connection, and an unwavering standard that aligns naturally with the Jumpman ethos,” the statement read. McVay made headlines as the youngest head coach in NFL history and later became the youngest to both reach and win a Super Bowl.

As only the third coach to join the Jordan Brand roster, McVay adds a significant new element to the brand, which emphasizes vision, culture, and excellence. Across the NFL, he is celebrated for his ability to inspire and uplift those around him, embodying the core principles of the Jordan Brand.

Traditionally, McVay has favored Nike footwear on the sidelines, often opting for styles like Air Huaraches or Air Maxes. With this new deal, fans may see him sporting customized blue and yellow Jordans that complement his signature royal blue attire each game day.
