Sioux Falls Lincoln's Brady Stamp Earns Gatorade Boys Soccer Player of the Year Honor Again

SIOUX FALLS — Brady Stamp, a senior from Sioux Falls Lincoln, has been recognized as the South Dakota Gatorade boys soccer player of the year for the second consecutive season, with the announcement made on June 12. The 5-foot-10 midfielder was instrumental in leading the Patriots to their third straight Class AA state title in the fall of 2025.

Throughout the season, Stamp netted 24 goals and provided eight assists, bringing his impressive career totals to 54 goals and 22 assists. The Patriots wrapped up the season with a record of 15 wins, 1 loss, and 1 draw, successfully avenging both of their non-victories during the regular season on their way to the championship. A previous 1-1 tie against Brandon Valley was transformed into an 8-0 victory in the semifinals, and a prior 2-1 defeat to Sioux Falls Jefferson was reversed with a dominant 6-0 win in the finals.

In addition to this latest accolade, Stamp has previously been named a two-time state player of the year by United Soccer Coaches and earned a spot on the TopDrawerSoccer.com fall Best XI first team. "Preparing for a game against Lincoln was always difficult because of the variety of skills Brady brings to the field and the way he can impact a game," remarked Sioux Falls Roosevelt coach Victor Naranjo in the award announcement. "He's fast, strong and technically very skilled. He can dominate games in different ways, whether it is scoring, creating chances or putting constant pressure on a defense."

Off the field, Stamp has excelled academically, maintaining a weighted GPA of 4.06. He plans to further his soccer and educational pursuits at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire this fall. Additionally, he has dedicated time to volunteering with organizations such as the Sioux Falls Area Humane Society, Feeding South Dakota, and coaching youth soccer.

The Gatorade awards for the girls soccer player of the year in South Dakota will be revealed on June 18.
