Saints Rookie Brock Rechsteiner Honors WWE Hall of Fame Father in Unique Photoshoot
In a remarkable display of family legacy, New Orleans Saints rookie Brock Rechsteiner recently captured attention by featuring his father's World Championship Wrestling title belt in a preseason photoshoot. This tribute honors his father, Scott Steiner, a notable figure in the WWE Hall of Fame. Scott, whose real name is Scott Rechsteiner, was a key player in the wrestling scene during the 1980s and 90s, often appearing on WCW alongside his brother Rick as part of the legendary tag team, The Steiner Brothers.
After their partnership, Scott moved into a successful singles career in WCW, later transitioning to WWF and finally making a mark in Total Nonstop Action (TNA) wrestling. Brock, an undrafted free agent, joined the Saints on May 12, having previously participated in a tryout and a rookie camp with the Tennessee Titans. At 6-foot-2, he played three seasons at Jacksonville State, accumulating 629 yards and seven touchdowns on 53 receptions. While his college statistics aren't particularly flashy, his athletic prowess has earned him recognition, contributing significantly to his placement on the Saints' preseason roster.
Moreover, wrestling runs deep in Brock's family; his cousin Bronson, the son of Rick Steiner, is achieving success in WWE under the ring name Bron Breakker. This connection underscores a potential future for Brock in wrestling should he choose to transition from the NFL. He has expressed a clear intention to follow that path once his football career concludes. "I want to do football as long as I can," he shared with the media, adding, "Once that’s done, I will pursue wrestling."
As the 2026 NFL season approaches, Brock Rechsteiner remains focused on his training with the Saints, but wrestling fans may want to keep an eye on his journey as he navigates his dual legacy.
