Softball's regular season wrapped up with standout performances

Don't cry because it's over. But smile because the final week of the regular season featured some of the gutsiest performances of the softball season.

Check out last week's top performances from softball fields across the Phillyburbs, then vote for the final Softball Player of the Week, beginning Friday at 6 p.m.

These players closed out the season with standout performances

Not every team can make the playoffs, but that doesn't make their games any less important. These players gave it their all to end the season on a positive note with hope for the future.

Sophia Dever, Abington

Dever hit a double and a triple against Hatboro-Horsham, scoring two runs and driving in one; against Upper Dublin, she had another double and drove in the Ghosts’ lone run. 

Natalie Sigda, Morrisville

The pitcher struck out 13 batters through five innings of work, giving up just three hits to secure a 14-4 victory over Lincoln Leadership in Morrisville’s final game of the year. At the plate, she was 2-for-3 with two RBIs and two walks. 

Bella Pistilli, Gwynedd Mercy

The freshman was exceptional against Dock Mennonite, giving up two hits and two walks while striking out 14 in a complete-game shutout. Against Lansdale Catholic, Pistilli struck out 15 through five innings, giving up two hits and two walks in another shutout win. In a three-inning victory over Delco Christian, she struck out nine while not allowing a hit, helping the Monarchs win three of their last five games. 

Madison Heinrich, Pennridge

She allowed just three hits and one walk while striking out five to secure a 3-2 win over CB West. In the Rams’ final game of the season against Garnet Valley, Heinrich again went the distance, allowing five hits and two walks in a 10-1 win, as Pennridge closed the season with two straight victories. 

Emma Keeley, Harry S. Truman

Keeley gave up three hits and one walk while striking out six in a win against Faith Christian. At the plate, she had two hits and one RBI. 

Taylor Carney, Harry S. Truman

She had three hits, including a pair of doubles, and drove in five runs in a win against Faith Christian. In a win against rival Bensalem, Carney hit three doubles and drove in five runs.  

Dana Oliverio, Bensalem

Oliverio gave up three hits and one walk, striking out six through four innings to secure a win over Delco Christian. 

Sydney Daut, Bensalem

She hit a two-run home run in the Owls win over Delco Christian. 

Peyton Keyser, Pennridge

She was 2-for-4 with a double and four RBIs in a win over Garnet Valley; against CB West, she scored two runs in a 3-2 win. 

Addison Strachan, William Tennent

Strachan had her best game of the season against Lower Moreland, throwing a four-hit shutout where she struck out nine batters without allowing a walk in a 2-0 complete-game win. 

Reagan Wetzel, Lansdale Catholic

She was 2-for-3 with two runs scored, two RBIs and two walks in a win over Archbishop Ryan. 

Payton Clerkin, Lansdale Catholic

The freshman gave up just one hit through seven innings while striking out seven in a win over Little Flower.

These players gave their teams a boost heading into the postseason

Whether they were improving their spot in the standings, looking to clinch a playoff spot, or avenging earlier losses, these players made sure their teams would being the postseason with plenty of confidence.

Brianna Slack, Bristol

Facing CR North, the 8th-ranked team in District One Class 6A, Slack delivered a shutout win, giving up five hits and no walks while striking out four in an abbreviated 11-0 win. She also did damage at the plate, going 3-for-4 with a double and a home run, driving in three runs. 

Lucianna Snyder, Bristol

Of her three hits against Dock Mennonite, two were home runs, as Snyder drove in six in the 12-2 win. 

Hailey Helmsetter, CB East

With two outs in the top of the eighth, Helmsetter hit a two-run double that gave the Patriots a huge win over Pennridge to secure the final spot in the District One 6A playoffs. 

Hannah McClintock, CB South

The sophomore hit a walk-off RBI single in the seventh that gave the Titans a 6-5 win over rival CB West. 

Delaney Theis, CB South

She was a perfect 5-for-5 against Pennridge, scoring three runs in the win.

Kendall Kornuszko, CB West

She gave up just two hits and two walks in a 5-2 win over CB East. 

Mia Kiskurno, CR North

The sophomore was outstanding against rival CR South, pitching a two-hit, one-walk shutout while striking out 12 batters in a 9-0 win. 

Liv Schlindwein, CR North

Both of her hits against CR South were triples, as Schlindwein led the Indians with four RBIs in a 9-0 win. 

Natalie Neubauer, CR South

The sophomore gave up three hits while striking out 11 and not walking a batter to secure a 2-1 win over Villa Joseph Marie. 

Avery Kutzner, Dock Mennonite

In addition to pitching three innings without allowing a hit or walk, Kutzner drove in three runs on two hits to secure a win over Collegium Charter. 

Aubrey Daniel, Germantown Academy

Daniel had three hits and drove in two runs to help clinch a 9-8 win over nemesis Penn Charter. 

Zoey Clark, Germantown Academy

The senior slugger hit two home runs against Notre Dame Academy, driving in three runs in the win. In a victory over Hun School, Clark was 2-for-3 with two runs scored and four RBIs. 

Kendall McCafferty, Neshaminy

Her two-run, go-ahead single in the fifth gave Neshaminy an 8-6 win over CR North in an important SOL Patriot Division matchup. McCafferty drove in four of Neshaminy’s six runs with three hits, including a home run. 

Lily Mormello, Neshaminy

Mormello hit a go-ahead RBI single in the fifth inning against Bensalem, giving Neshaminy a 4-3 win to close out the regular season. 

Dagny Mobley, New Hope-Solebury

In another sensational outing, Mobley was nearly perfect against South Hunterdon, giving up only a lone hit. Through seven innings, Mobley struck out 12 batters with no walks in an 8-0 win.

Morgan Foster, New Hope-Solebury

Hitting leadoff, Foster had two hits and drove in four runs in an 8-0 win over South Hunterdon. 

Felicia Connolly, North Penn

Connolly struck out 18 batters while giving up a single hit and two walks as the Knights closed out the regular season with a 6-1 win over New Hope-Solebury and clinched the No. 1 seed in the District One 6A tournament.

Peyton Hurlock, Plumstead Christian

In a wild seventh inning that saw the Panthers score 10 runs against Collegium Charter, Hurlock gave the Panthers the lead with her two-run double. 

Maddie Edgerton, Plumstead Christian

She hit a two-run home run in the seventh inning, finishing with three hits and four RBIs in a win over Collegium. 

Ava Jones, Quakertown

Jones was a single short of the cycle, going 3-for-3 with a double, triple and home run against Pennridge, driving in three runs and scoring twice in the 9-7 win. 

Kaylee Carr, Quakertown

The freshman pitcher closed the regular season with a complete-game shutout of Pennridge, giving up three hits and striking out seven in the win. 

Emma Lewis, Souderton

The catcher came up big in front of the plate, hitting a pair of home runs and driving in five in a win over CB South. 

Brooklyn Kavanaugh, Upper Moreland

The Golden Bears’ leadoff hitter had three hits and five RBIs in a win over rival Lower Moreland. She had three hits, including a double, in a win over Pope John Paul II. 

Faith Fox, Villa Joseph Marie

In addition to earning the win in the circle, Fox did plenty of damage at the plate against Plumstead, driving in six runs on two hits, including a home run. 

Katie Stanton, Villa Joseph Marie

Stanton had three hits, including a home run, and scored three runs in an 8-1 win over William Tennent. In a win over Plumstead Christian, she was 3-for-4 with a double and two runs scored. 

Paige Fidishun, Pennsbury

The freshman secured the Falcons’ 10th straight win in their final game of the regular season, giving up three hits, two walks and no earned runs while striking out seven for a 4-1 victory against CR South. Pennsbury’s last loss came against CR South on April 14. 

Isabella Karpovich, Hatboro-Horsham

With a playoff berth on the line, Karpovich threw one of her best games of the season, giving up four hits while striking out five to secure a 5-1 win over Upper Merion in a complete-game effort.
