Sophie Cunningham took hard contact to the head Friday night in the Indiana Fever's win over the Golden State Valkyries.
It gave her the sensation of being scratched, and so she asked teammate Ty Harris if there was anything noticeable.
Harris told her no.
Afterward, Cunningham discovered her point guard may have been hiding a bit of the truth.
Cunningham has a scar on her forehead, positioned in such a way that she told her Instagram followers, "I look like Harry Potter" -- the fictional wizard who famously has a scar shaped like a lightning bolt on his forehead.
Here's a look at Cunningham's situation:
Sophie asked Ty during the game if she had a scratch on her head and she said no 😭

It was particularly easy for Cunningham to laugh about after a bounce back game for her in which she played 28 minutes off the bench, scored 11 points and got to enjoy a victory.
The Fever had Caitlin Clark back in the lineup, which certainly is a good thing, and got a big game from Aliyah Boston.
If the worst thing that happened on this night for Indiana was a scratch on Cunningham's forehead, that's certainly not a bad night at the office.
And hey, maybe Cunningham will be able to pull off some magic spells now.
