Victor Wembanyama has finally figured out how to dominate the Oklahoma City Thunder. After two rough losses, the San Antonio Spurs responded well to even up this Western Conference Finals series at two wins each. All it took was doing something that has only been done by NBA Playoffs legends like LeBron James and Kevin Durant.

Wembanyama enters legendary James and Durant territory during Spurs' Game 4 win

Coach Mitch Johnson was running all the actions for Victor Wembanyama so that the Spurs would get a large lead over the Thunder early on. This philosophy worked well for the rotations and schematics of their squad. The Spurs led by as much as 25 points in Game 4 enroute to their 103-82 win.

All of this was due to Wembanyama being dominant. In just 31 minutes of playing time, he was able to score 33 points on a 50% field goal percentage while also going three of seven from three-point range. More than that, he also filled the box score with a plethora of all-around production. He grabbed eight rebounds, dropped five assists, nabbed three blocks, sank three three shots from downtown and got two steals. There are only two other players in NBA Playoffs history to have reached these numbers, per StatMuse. They go by the names of LeBron James and Kevin Durant, perhaps fans are familiar with them.

This level of production clearly bothered the Thunder and it showed. The Spurs managed to limit them from scoring more than 20 points in each quarter during the first half. There were some improvement in the second half but even those 22 points each in the third and fourth quarters could not even bring them to close the large gap.

Time will be the indicator of whether Wembanyama beats out the accolades that Durant and James brought during their careers. As of now, he is way ahead of schedule for someone who is just playing in his first NBA Playoffs.
