Three things to know about LSU football transfer Aliou Bah
When the transfer portal opened, the offensive line was a major priority for LSU football. New head coach Lane Kiffin had to completely rebuild the unit after the group struggled in 2025.
Along with the struggles, most of LSU's young talent hit the portal during the coaching transition. LSU was starting over from scratch.
LSU sought out veteran offensive linemen to compete for starting jobs right away and younger players to be a part of the room for the next few years.
One of those veterans was Maryland transfer, Aliou Bah. The fifth-year senior is expected to be in play for one of LSU's starting guard spots. Few players in the room can match Bah's experience and LSU needs an immediate floor raiser.
Jordan Seaton is a shoo-in to start at left tackle and Braelin Moore will man the center spot. Outside of those two, Bah is the next safest bet to earn a starting gig.
Here are three things to know about one of LSU's new offensive lineman.
Bah was a blue-chip recruit
Coming out of high school in the 2022 class, Bah was a coveted blue-chip prospect. The four-star from Memphis was recruited by the SEC's top programs and ultimately signed with Georgia.
Georgia doesn't sign just anyone. UGA viewed Bah as a guy who could make a difference in the SEC. He's got the size and athleticism.
Bah has over 1,500 snaps of Power Four experience
Bah brings 1,511 snaps of Power Four experience to LSU's offensive line. Bah only played 13 at Georgia, but after transferring to Maryland, he became a bona fide starter. Bah played 817 snaps in 2024 and 681 in 2025.
And while Bah didn't play much in Athens, that experience still matters. Georgia is near the top of the sport. That's the culture Kiffin is trying to establish in Baton Rouge. Bringing in players who have been on national championship-winning teams helps.
Bah did not allow a sack in 2025
In 2025, Bah did not surrender a single sack in 470 snaps of pass protection. He allowed just two QB hits in that same span.
In 2024, Bah allowed just one sack and three QB hits.
His pass protection ability shows up on film, too. Bah has quick feet and he's able to match the redirection of defensive linemen. His hands are sturdy enough to control defenders, too.
