Originally planning to announce his commitment on July 1, Henderson has moved the date forward by 13 days. According to Chad Simmons, a recruiting director at Rivals, Henderson has expressed a strong sense of where he wants to play, potentially in Bryan-College Station, Texas. “I’m very close to my decision,” he remarked in a recent conversation with Rivals, following his official visit to Texas A&M. “My commitment date is July 1, but it may not be that day. It could be two weeks, it could be one week. This decision could be made in a few days.”

Though Henderson has officially visited Texas A&M, LSU, and Miami, he has only made an unofficial visit to Notre Dame. Recruiting experts have speculated that Texas A&M is the frontrunner for his commitment, but there are still predictions from some Notre Dame insiders suggesting he might choose the Fighting Irish.
