Vaibhav Sooryavanshi's Performance in India A vs Sri Lanka A Match

Indian cricket prodigy Vaibhav Sooryavanshi took to the field once again on Monday during the tri-series match against Sri Lanka A at the Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium in Dambulla, Sri Lanka. The 15-year-old started his innings with promise, hitting three boundaries early on.

However, Sooryavanshi's time at the crease was cut short as he was dismissed for just 14 runs off 12 balls. Attempting to loft the ball over mid-off, he failed to get the necessary power and elevation, leading to a catch by Sri Lanka A captain Sahan Arachchige, who made a full-length dive to secure the dismissal.

In his previous match against Afghanistan, Sooryavanshi showcased his talent by scoring 44 runs from just 22 balls, striking eight fours before being caught out by Ishaq Rahimi off the bowling of Abdullah Ahmadzai. Unfortunately, he couldn't replicate that form against Sri Lanka A, finishing with a modest score of 21 runs from 14 balls.

During this outing, Sooryavanshi attempted to hit through the line but mistimed his shot, resulting in another catch at point, once again ending his innings prematurely. This match is part of a tri-nation series that features India A, Sri Lanka A, and Afghanistan A, following a double round-robin format.

The series includes a total of six matches before the final, with points awarded based on match outcomes. The top two teams will advance to the final, set to take place on June 21 at the same venue.
