Wisconsin Badgers Secure Commitment from In-State Offensive Lineman Jack Tabbert

The Wisconsin Badgers continue to bolster their 2027 recruiting class, with a significant addition made on Monday evening. Jack Tabbert, an offensive lineman from Pewaukee, has officially switched his commitment from North Dakota State to Wisconsin.

Standing at 6 feet 5 inches and weighing 270 pounds, Tabbert garnered all-conference accolades during his junior year. After receiving offers from multiple schools, including Florida Atlantic, Harvard, and Yale, he initially pledged to North Dakota State in March. However, following a successful visit and camp at Wisconsin this past weekend, he caught the attention of offensive line coach Eric Mateos, leading to an immediate offer.

Tabbert's commitment brings a fresh dynamic to Wisconsin's recruiting efforts, which had previously focused on securing tackle prospects for the 2027 class. The Badgers have already signed four-star recruits Cole Reiter, Hunter Mallinger, and three-star players Reece Mallinger and Ethan McIntosh. With Reiter, Mallinger, and McIntosh likely to play on the edge, the addition of Tabbert provides much-needed support for the interior line.

In addition to Tabbert, Wisconsin has been actively pursuing other talent for the 2027 class, including four-star Alijah Shaw, who visited the campus over the weekend. Shaw has emerged as a key target, competing with Arkansas for his commitment after recent visits.

With Tabbert now in the fold, the Badgers have solidified their fifth offensive lineman for the 2027 cycle, reinforcing their commitment to building a strong foundation for the future.
