3 area natives pick up victories during opening night at Jennerstown Speedway Complex

JENNERSTOWN, Pa. – Area natives Carley Awtey, Doug Glessner and Rick Meehleib each earned victories during opening night of the season at Jennerstown Speedway Complex Saturday.

In chargers, Jenners' Awtey started fourth and picked up the checkered flag, beating Brian Ready and Ken Burkholder.

Boswell native Glessner was the polesitter and won in modifieds. He topped Anthony Aiello and Dale Glessner.

Stoystown's Meehleib was the winner in street stocks after starting in pole position. He outraced Scott Mitchell and John Fama.

Polesitter Joe Maruca was the winner in late models, topping RJ Dallape and Jarred Barclay. After starting fourth, Kyle Burkholder won in pro stocks, defeating Josh Dunmyer and Brent Bickerstaff.

In four-cylinders, Seth Nedrow prevailed after starting second. Cameron Ruggles and Noah Hirko finished second and third, respectively. Polesitter Mike Bakalon won the NE Crown Vic race, crossing first in front of Travis Beam and Kolby Burkholder.
