Alphonso Davies Cleared to Play for Canada in World Cup Clash with Qatar

Canada's World Cup co-hosts have received a significant boost as Bayern Munich defender Alphonso Davies is set to participate in their upcoming group stage match against Qatar on Thursday. Coach Jesse Marsch confirmed in a press conference on Wednesday that Davies has been training throughout the week and will be available for selection.

Davies, who has been recovering from a torn muscle sustained during the Champions League semi-final against Paris Saint-Germain in May, missed Canada's previous match, which ended in a 1-1 stalemate against Bosnia and Herzegovina. "We've been working very closely with his physical therapists. He looks really good. He's ready," Marsch added, signaling confidence in Davies' fitness.
