Amanda Serrano Ties Knockout Record with Victory Over Cheyenne Hanson

Amanda Serrano made headlines once again by matching the record for the most knockouts in women's boxing history following her impressive second-round stoppage of Cheyenne Hanson in Texas. This victory allowed Serrano to successfully defend her WBA and WBO featherweight titles.

The fight, held in El Paso, showcased Serrano's dominance as she cornered the 28-year-old German fighter, unleashing a barrage of punches that led the referee to halt the contest. This latest win marks Serrano's 32nd knockout, making her the first boxer to defeat Hanson before the final bell.

In the co-main event, former UFC champion Holly Holm faced off against Stephanie Han but fell short in her bid for the WBA lightweight title. Two judges scored the match 96-94 in favor of Han, while one judge had it even at 95-95. Despite Holm's pre-fight intentions to challenge Katie Taylor in Ireland, it was Han who expressed her desire for that matchup after the fight.

"The next fight I want, and I know every fighter wants it, is Katie Taylor," Han stated ringside, highlighting her aspirations for a high-profile clash.

On the undercard, Desley Robinson successfully defended her IBF and WBO middleweight titles with a unanimous decision win over Mary Spencer. Additionally, Mexican boxer Lourdes Juarez retained her WBC light-flyweight title, edging out Yokasta Valle in a split decision. O'Shaquie Foster also shone, earning a majority decision victory against Raymond Ford to keep his WBC super-featherweight title at the Fertitta Center in Houston.
