Arsenal is set to host a celebratory parade for their Premier League trophy, marking their first league title in 22 years, following a heartbreaking defeat in the Champions League final against Paris Saint-Germain. The parade will take place in Islington on Sunday, May 31, allowing fans to celebrate the team's accomplishments despite the recent setback.

Mikel Arteta’s squad secured the Premier League title after their final match of the season against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park last Sunday. Although they aimed for a memorable double, they faced disappointment as PSG triumphed in a penalty shoot-out after Arsenal’s Gabriel Magalhaes missed his attempt.

The festivities will kick off at 2pm BST and will feature both the men's and women's teams. The women’s squad recently claimed the FIFA Women’s Champions Cup, adding to the club's achievements this season.

The parade will start on Holloway Road at Drayton Park, continuing east along Seven Sisters Road and down to Blackstock Road, Mount Grove Road, and Green Lanes. The route will lead south along Petherton Road, Beresford Road, Newington Green Road, and Essex Road before turning north at Angel underground station, heading onto Upper Street, and finally returning to Holloway Road near Highbury and Islington Station. The surrounding areas will be closed to the public during the event.

Supporters are advised to avoid gathering around the stadium and nearby roads, as these locations will not provide views of the parade. There will be various road closures and parking restrictions in effect from 4am to 8pm, and fans should expect significant crowds at public transport stations. The club suggests allowing ample time for travel and checking Transport for London and National Rail for real-time updates.

This parade occurs just ahead of the World Cup, with many Arsenal players set to join their national teams shortly after, making this celebration a fitting farewell before international duties begin.
