Caden Jones Leaves Seattle Visit with Positive Impressions of Washington Huskies
This past weekend, the University of Washington welcomed 14 recruits for official visits, and among those still undecided, several expressed strong interest in the Huskies. One standout was Caden Jones, a three-star quarterback from Crean Lutheran High School in Southern California, who stands 6-foot-3 and weighs 185 pounds.
Ranked as the 36th quarterback nationally and 43rd overall in California by 247Sports, Jones possesses an impressive 40 scholarship offers. He has been a key target for Jedd Fisch's coaching staff, even after Washington secured a commitment from four-star quarterback Blake Roskopf in April.
Following his trip to Seattle, Jones reportedly had a favorable view of the program and is reassessing his preferences among his top seven schools, which include Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Kentucky, North Carolina, and UCLA, according to Rivals' Adam Gorney (subscription required).
Jones has also scheduled an official visit to California on June 15. Despite holding several predictions to commit to Arizona, Fisch's former institution, he has made multiple visits to Washington. During a recent contact period, quarterbacks coach JP Losman made the trip to Southern California to connect with Jones.
Despite facing an injury that limited him to just four games in his sophomore season, Jones showcased significant promise during his junior year, particularly with his athleticism. His skill set aligns well with the offensive style Fisch employs, which often involves bootleg plays and moving the quarterback outside the pocket.
If Jones ultimately chooses the Huskies, it could signal potential departures of one or two quarterbacks from the program after the 2026 season.
