Colorado Football Gains Two More Commitments for 2027, Including NFL Legacy

Colorado football continues to build its 2027 recruiting class, announcing the addition of two new commitments on Sunday morning. Three-star edge rusher Drew Sapp and unranked interior offensive lineman Jayin Talib have both decided to join Deion Sanders' program.

Sapp, who hails from Lakeland, Florida, recently took an official visit to Colorado on June 12 and received a Crystal Ball prediction favoring the Buffaloes. He ultimately chose Colorado over offers from Mississippi State, Pittsburgh, Vanderbilt, and several other institutions. According to 247Sports, Sapp is currently ranked as the No. 1350 overall recruit, the No. 103 edge rusher, and the No. 143 player in Florida. Last season, he recorded an impressive 28 tackles for a loss and 13.5 sacks. With this commitment, Sapp joins Jovon Pulliam and Ba'Roc Willis as the third edge rusher in Colorado's 2027 class.

Meanwhile, Talib, who is unranked by 247Sports, has garnered attention for his potential, holding offers from Memphis, NC State, and Texas Tech. He is notably the nephew of former NFL star Aqib Talib and the younger brother of defensive end Yamil Talib.

With these additions, Colorado's 2027 recruiting class now includes 16 players, surpassing the 14 members of the 2026 class. The Buffaloes currently hold the 33rd spot nationally and rank 4th in the Big 12 for their class.
