Colorado Secures Commitment from Three-Star Tackle Coderro McDaniel
In a significant move for the Buffaloes, Colorado football has successfully flipped three-star offensive tackle Coderro McDaniel from a prior commitment to Ole Miss. This announcement came on the heels of two commitments earlier on Sunday, marking a productive day for head coach Deion Sanders and his team.
McDaniel, who stands at 6-foot-5 and weighs 325 pounds, is recognized for his impressive athleticism, having excelled in both football and track and field. He earned the title of Mississippi 5A shot put champion during his sophomore year, where he recorded a personal best throw of 50-3 in March. His versatility allows him to play effectively at either tackle position.
Ranked as the No. 627 overall recruit in the 2027 class and the No. 57 offensive tackle according to 247Sports, McDaniel also received interest from prominent programs like Arkansas, Kansas, Kentucky, and North Carolina, among others. After visiting Colorado on June 5, he decided to commit just ten days later, expressing gratitude for the opportunity on social media.
With McDaniel's addition, Colorado's 2027 recruiting class now consists of 17 commitments, including three offensive linemen, placing them at No. 33 nationally and fourth in the Big 12. This recruitment effort underscores Colorado's ambitions under Coach Sanders as they work to build a competitive program.
