Daniel Cormier Declares His Innocence Amid Controversial Eric Trump DMs

Daniel Cormier is expressing his frustration regarding inquiries about a controversial post on his social media, which featured direct messages from Eric Trump. The UFC fighter made headlines after a post on his X account went viral, showcasing a conversation in which Trump allegedly sought insider knowledge about fights to gain betting advantages.

The incident occurred on June 14, during UFC Freedom 250 at the White House, where Cormier served as a commentator. The now-deleted post included Trump’s request for information related to rigged fights and injuries. Cormier, who is passionate about the integrity of the sport, stated, “The UFC is a sport that I am deeply passionate about; I will not tolerate this type of insider behavior.”

Upon attending the event, Cormier learned from UFC’s social media team about the post, which he claims he did not authorize. “Guys, this is at 6:30 Sunday night,” he recounted on his YouTube channel. “I have no idea how long it had been up or who was responsible.” Cormier emphasized that he would never engage in such conversations, stating, “I just wouldn't do that. That's not what I do.”

Despite the hacking incident leading to misunderstandings, Cormier confirmed that he continues to manage his Twitter account. He expressed his annoyance at the ongoing speculation, asserting, “All you news outlets, leave me the f*ck alone. There was nothing to it. My Twitter got hacked.” He further clarified that he and Trump do not follow each other, making such messages implausible. “It just wasn’t real,” he insisted, urging the media to cease their inquiries on the matter.
