Diamond Heels remain at No. 2 in USA TODAY Sports Coaches Poll

The 2026 college baseball regular season is in the books and now the attention shifts to the postseason and the road to Omaha. For the North Carolina Tar Heels, they finished second in the Atlantic Coast Conference but did take down Georgia Tech in their series this year.

They head into that ACC Tournament as the No. 2 seed and will look to capture the conference title before hosting a regional. Following another series win over NC State this weekend, the Diamond Heels are riding high in terms of their confidence. And now, they will enter this week still as the No. 2 team in the country.

The latest USA TODAY Sports Coaches Poll was released on Monday afternoon, and North Carolina remained at No. 2, a spot they have been for a few weeks now.
