Eric Bischoff Supports WWE and Triple H Amidst Fan Backlash
The WWE fan community is notoriously difficult to satisfy, yet Eric Bischoff expresses optimism about the company's future. For months, the wrestling world, particularly the online segment known as the "IWC," has voiced concerns over the creative direction under Triple H’s leadership.
This year’s WrestleMania was perceived as a letdown, lacking the excitement and buildup fans had come to expect. Despite this, Bischoff believes that WWE is capable of turning things around. As a seasoned figure in wrestling, he has a legacy that includes both major successes and notable failures.
“WWE’s kind of stepped on a rake here for the last three or four months, creatively speaking, for whatever reason,” Bischoff remarked during a recent podcast with Complex. He acknowledged that various factors, including injuries and unexpected changes, may have contributed to the recent slump, but he remains confident in WWE’s ability to recover.
Reflecting on the prior year and a half, he noted, “There was some good stuff coming out of WWE. So, they have the ability to do it. We’ve seen it.” Bischoff emphasized that the same talented individuals are still part of the organization and just need to find their footing again.
Looking ahead, there are signs of improvement, particularly with the captivating rivalry between Oba Femi and Brock Lesnar, as well as the anticipated return of the Bloodline led by Roman Reigns. With promising storylines involving Seth Rollins, Bron Breakker, and a burgeoning women’s division featuring talents like Jacy Jayne and Sol Ruca, the path to SummerSlam appears to be filled with potential.
