Eric Trump Denies Allegations of Seeking Fight Rigging Information
Eric Trump has firmly rejected claims that he inquired about the integrity of UFC fights taking place on the White House South Lawn. The accusations arose after UFC commentator Daniel Cormier shared screenshots of direct messages allegedly exchanged with Trump, which were quickly removed before the Freedom 250 event commenced.
Cormier, expressing his disapproval on social media, stated, “The UFC is a sport that I am deeply passionate about. I will not tolerate this type of insider behavior.” The screenshots reportedly depicted Trump questioning whether Cormier intended to place bets and if any fighters were injured, culminating in the direct inquiry, “Are any of the fights tomorrow rigged?”
In response, Cormier asserted, “No, none of our fights are rigged, and honestly, I am appalled that you would even ask me something like that.” Following the fallout, Eric Trump took to social media to vehemently deny the allegations, calling them “completely fake” and describing the situation as “scary.” He suggested that the messages might have been generated by artificial intelligence.
Cormier, confronting skepticism from reporters, expressed disbelief that anyone would take such claims seriously, stating, “I can’t believe you guys believed that. I got hacked or something. Who believes something like that? That’s crazy.” The incident has sparked confusion online, particularly among those critical of Donald Trump and his family.
UFC President Dana White commented on the recent fights in Washington, D.C., labeling them a success but affirming, “I can’t afford it. I’ll never do the Sphere again, and we’ll never do this again.”
