Excitement Builds for UIL State Baseball Championships in Texas

After a thrilling regular season coupled with five intense rounds of playoffs, the stage is now set for the ultimate showdown in Texas high school baseball. The 2026 UIL Baseball State Championship is scheduled to take place from Thursday, June 4, to Saturday, June 6, at Dell Diamond in Round Rock, where the state's elite teams will compete for glory.

The championship weekend will kick off with the Class 2A and 3A games on June 4, followed by the top Class 4A and 5A teams battling it out on June 5. The grand finale will feature the Class 6A and 1A teams on June 6, culminating in the crowning of 11 new UIL baseball champions.

Among the Big Country teams, the Gordon Longhorns (23-4) are set to face off against the Groveton Centerville Bulldogs (23-1) in the 1A UIL State Championship. This highly anticipated matchup will take place at 9 a.m. on Saturday, June 6, at Dell Diamond.
