Four Berks Players Selected as First Team All-Stars in District 3 Boys Volleyball
On Wednesday, the District 3 Class 2A All-Star Team was revealed, featuring three standout athletes from the BCIAA champion Brandywine Heights. Seniors Owen Tomasil, who plays libero, and setter Austin Armbruster, along with junior outside hitter Eagan Coffin, all secured spots on the prestigious first team.
Joining them on the first team is Cooper Robison, a junior outside hitter from Daniel Boone. Additionally, the second team includes senior Joey Dorio from the Bullets and junior Alec Vitalo from Schuylkill Valley, both recognized as outside players. Honorable mentions were awarded to Mike Pinkerton, a senior right side from Antietam, and Beckham Stones, a junior outside from Schuylkill Valley.
In the Class 3A category, Exeter's seniors Paxton Forry and Jackson Gabriel received honorable mentions for their contributions as an outside hitter and a middle blocker, respectively. Brandywine Heights had an impressive season, clinching the BCIAA title against Exeter with a narrow 3-2 victory, later finishing as runners-up in the District 3 Class 2A tournament before making a semifinal exit in the PIAA tournament against Meadville.
Trent Weinstein of York Suburban was named the player of the year for Class 2A, while Oliver Good was honored as coach of the year. In Class 3A, Elijah Fox from Cumberland Valley received the player of the year award, and his coach, Terry Ranck, was recognized for his outstanding leadership.
