Gonzaga to Face Creighton Again on December 12 in Home-and-Home Series

As the 2026-27 basketball season approaches, Gonzaga is finalizing its nonconference schedule. According to a report from CBS Sports’ Jon Rothstein, the Bulldogs are set to visit Creighton on December 12, marking the second installment of a two-year home-and-home series.

Last season, the teams faced off at Gonzaga’s McCarthey Athletic Center, where the Bulldogs cruised to a 90-63 victory after a strong second half. In that matchup, Graham Ike was the standout performer, scoring 20 points while sinking all four of his three-point attempts and grabbing 10 rebounds. Other key contributors for Gonzaga included Braden Huff with 14 points and Mario Saint-Supery, who added 13.

This upcoming game will take place at the CHI Health Center in Omaha, a facility that accommodates 19,000 fans and is located just a mile from Creighton’s campus. Notably, Huff and Creighton’s Jackson McAndrew are the only starters returning from last year’s game for their respective teams this season. Gonzaga's Saint-Supery and freshman Davis Fogle, alongside Creighton's Jasen Green, Austin Swartz, and Isaac Traudt, also participated in that encounter.

Creighton has undergone significant changes over the offseason, most notably with the hiring of Alan Huss as head coach. Huss, a former player for the Bluejays, takes over after Greg McDermott's departure following 16 seasons and 10 NCAA Tournament appearances. Huss previously served as an assistant coach at Creighton before briefly coaching at High Point, where he led the team to the 2025 NCAA Tournament.

In Huss's first year, Creighton has brought in four crucial transfers, including BJ Davis from San Diego State, Wes Enis from South Florida, and Oswin Erhunmwunse from Providence, all of whom are expected to play significant roles. While Creighton has not made early preseason top 25 rankings, they were positioned at No. 40 in Rothstein's offseason top 45 list.

Historically, Gonzaga holds a 5-5 record against Creighton, but they have dominated the series recently, winning the last four encounters by double digits.
