The future of Memphis Grizzlies All-Star guard Ja Morant is certainly uncertain.

Morant has had a tough go of it the past few seasons, from injuries to off-the-court issues. The Grizzlies have not expressed a strong desire to shop the 26-year-old, but it is clear that his days are numbered in Memphis.

With that likely being the case, the best chance for the Grizzlies to move Morant is the NBA Draft.

The draft is a little over a month away, and there is a good chance we will see a handful of trades. One blockbuster trade idea floated around by Zach Buckley of Bleacher Report says that the Brooklyn Nets will trade their sixth overall pick for Morant.

Memphis Grizzlies receive: No. 6 pick, Nic Claxton, Terance Mann

" While there's been some cold water thrown on the idea of the Grizzlies using the No. 3 pick to rid themselves of Morant, the possibility still seems worth exploring for Memphis. Especially if they share any of the concerns about Boozer's athletic limitations or Caleb Wilson's scoring ceiling.

"If the Grizzlies would be willing to talk shop, the Nets might be all over this. They've been aiming to up their competitiveness next season, and this deal could help make that happen. Morant's stock is sliding, but he quietly looked great before an elbow injury ended his season (23.5 points, 9.3 assists over his final six outings)."

Grizzlies could be headed toward new era without Ja Morant

The Grizzlies are likely moving in a new direction with Morant in the rearview mirror.

Memphis is also likely to position themselves for flexibility. The Grizlzies find themselves in a prime position to start over as they hold the No. 3 pick in what is a loaded draft class.

The No. 3 pick is a highly touted one, and there is a great chance they can get some serious value back, whether that is multiple picks or younger, more established talent.

Morant may be cast off in Memphis, but he can still showcase that he is a great talent in the league. Age is on his side, and he remains one of the more explosive guards in the league.

However, aside from factors, Morant may still have a long way to go in terms of maturity.
