The report claims that the club offered him a contract similar to his current one, rather than the substantial increase he sought to align his wages with those of top earners like Van Dijk, who earns £400,000 per week. The failure to accommodate Konate's demands, along with additional expenses such as agent fees, ultimately led to the breakdown of the negotiations.
