Mohamed Salah Set to Depart Liverpool for Saudi Club with Conditions

Mohamed Salah is preparing to leave Liverpool as the 2026/27 season approaches, marking the end of a successful chapter at Anfield. The 33-year-old forward has reportedly agreed to terminate his lucrative £400,000 per week contract one year ahead of schedule.

While there has been considerable buzz about Salah's next destination, potential suitors include European clubs like Juventus and Fenerbahce. However, the Saudi Pro League appears to be the frontrunner in this race. Al-Ittihad previously attempted to secure Salah's services back in 2023, but Liverpool rejected their advances. Earlier this year, it was revealed that Al-Ittihad had prepared a staggering contract worth approximately £1.67 million per week for the Egyptian star.

According to Marib Press, Salah has now tentatively agreed to make the move to the Saudi league, though he has laid out several important conditions. The report states, “Mohamed Salah has given his initial approval to pursue a professional career in the Saudi League, but only under a set of conditions that he considers necessary to complete the deal.”

Salah's stipulations include receiving a salary and benefits that reflect his market value, in addition to a contract extension spanning two or three years for career stability. Furthermore, he insists on joining a club with a competitive sporting vision aimed at winning major titles, rather than merely participating in the league.
