Michigan State Football Welcomes Division II Edge Rusher Aidan Boehle

In a move to bolster their roster, Michigan State football has secured a commitment from edge rusher Aidan Boehle, who previously played at Division II Winona State. The announcement came on Thursday, June 11, as Pat Fitzgerald focuses on enhancing the team's performance for the upcoming season.

Boehle, a 6-foot-6, 245-pound talent hailing from Minnetonka, Minnesota, has two years of eligibility left after spending three seasons with the Warriors. Last season, he made an impact as a redshirt sophomore, recording two sacks among four tackles across eight games. During his redshirt freshman year, he participated in three games and registered two tackles, having joined Winona State as a two-star recruit in 2023.

Ranked as the 201st edge rusher and 2,678th overall player in the nation according to 247 Sports' composite rankings, Boehle is expected to contribute significantly to the Spartans. As the team engages in summer workouts, they are looking forward to their season opener on September 4 against Toledo, which will mark Fitzgerald's debut as head coach.

Last year, Michigan State finished with a record of 4-8 and has only managed to secure nine wins over the past two seasons under the previous coaching staff. Boehle's addition could be a step in reversing that trend.
