Mike Singletary Sees Caleb Williams as Future Star Similar to Patrick Mahomes

In a recent appearance on the Up & Adams show, former Chicago Bears linebacker Mike Singletary shared his thoughts on the potential of Bears quarterback Caleb Williams, drawing a parallel to NFL superstar Patrick Mahomes. Singletary, a revered figure in Bears history with ten Pro Bowl selections, was asked by host Kay Adams whom he would select first in a hypothetical NFL redraft.

Singletary stated that he would choose Mahomes, the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback, but he quickly highlighted that Williams deserves recognition in that elite conversation. “The kid in Chicago is not far behind,” he remarked, emphasizing Williams’ emerging leadership qualities and the way his teammates rally around him.

Currently, Williams is coming off a productive second season, marking a significant improvement from his rookie year under head coach Ben Johnson. In 2025, the former No. 1 overall pick saw increases in various stats, including passing yards, touchdowns, and overall passer rating, demonstrating his growth as a quarterback.
