Milton Williams' blunt take on A.J. Brown possibly joining Patriots
New England Patriots defensive tackle Milton Williams isn't a general manager, but if he did run the front office, he'd view A.J. Brown as somebody who could help the team.
Williams and Brown were teammates with the Philadelphia Eagles from 2022 to 2024. That includes being members of the championship team that defeated the Kansas City Chiefs at Super Bowl LVII.
The Eagles are expected to trade Brown this offseason, and the Patriots have been viewed as the top landing spot for the three-time All-Pro receiver. Williams was asked about potentially being reunited with Brown in New England after the team's first OTAs practice on Wednesday.
"You see the noise. You see it. Hell of a player," said Williams, via Patriots Wire's Sophie Weller. "He can definitely help our team, but they don't pay me to do that. ...Great dude. Monster on the field. Great in the locker room, holding guys accountable and holding himself accountable."

The trade for Brown is expected to happen on or after June 1, when the Eagles can avoid a dead cap hit north of $40 million.
Adding a legitimate No. 1 receiver to the mix could do wonders for a Patriots offense that also has Romeo Doubs, Kayshon Boutte, Mack Hollins, Kyle Williams, DeMario Douglas and Efton Chism III. Wide receiver would instantly become one of the deepest positions on the entire roster.
