Oklahoma Sooners Land Commitment from Promising Offensive Lineman

The Oklahoma Sooners bolstered their 2027 recruiting class on Sunday with two new commitments, starting with wide receiver Malahn Green from St. Louis. Following Green's announcement, the Sooners secured a commitment from offensive lineman Jaxon Lawler, hailing from Amarillo, Texas.

Lawler, a three-star offensive lineman, chose Oklahoma over several other programs, including Oklahoma State, Wake Forest, North Texas, Air Force, and UTEP. He also had discussions with schools such as SMU, Texas Tech, TCU, and Columbia. Known for his physical style of play, Lawler aims to dominate opponents on the field.

Demonstrating impressive agility, Lawler is expected to be a significant asset in the running game. He not only excels as an offensive lineman but also showcases his skills on the defensive line for his high school team. His ability to initiate plays with a strong first step and maintain relentless energy makes him a formidable presence on the field.

With Lawler's commitment, he becomes the sixth offensive lineman to join the Sooners' 2027 class, alongside recruits Cooper Hackett, Kaeden Penny, Luke Wilson, Tyson Ross, and Isaac Coughran. This solidifies Oklahoma's focus on strengthening their offensive line for the future.
