Patriots select QB Behren Morton with No. 234 overall pick
While the New England Patriots have quarterback Drake Maye and recently extended Tommy DeVito to serve as the backup, they needed to bring on a third signal caller after releasing Joshua Dobbs.
And the team did so in the 2026 NFL Draft, selecting Texas Tech QB Behren Morton with the 234th overall pick.
At 6-foot-2, 221 pounds, Morton was a three-and-a-half year starter, finishing the 2025 season foing 219-of-332 for 2,780 yards, 22 touchdowns, and six interceptions.
