Pueblo County baseball to host regional, several teams make playoffs

The 2026 CHSAA baseball playoffs will commence this weekend for Class 2A, 4A, and 5A.

Pueblo West will participate in the 5A playoffs, Rye High School made the 2A playoffs, and Pueblo Central, South, East and County will participate in the 4A playoffs, with County being the host team for their region.

All playoffs begin with regional matchups starting on May 16. Each classification will have eight regionals, with each regional hosting four teams, for 32 teams in total. Only one team from each regional will advance to the state tournaments.

Here are the regional matchups for the Pueblo area teams:

Class 2A

• No. 17 Rye High School vs. No. 16 SkyView Academy (Region 1, Forge Christian)

Class 4A

• No. 13 Pueblo South vs. No. 20 Palmer Ridge (Region 4, Falcon)
• No. 27 Pueblo East vs. No. 6 Lutheran (Region 6, Lutheran)
• No. 7 Pueblo County vs. No. 26 Niwot (Region 7, Pueblo County)
• No. 23 Pueblo Central vs. No. 10 Eagle Valley (Region 7, Pueblo County)

Class 5A

• No. 25 Pueblo West vs. No. 8 Fairview (Region 8, Fairview)
