The possibility of a trade involving Myles Garrett would mark a significant move for the Los Angeles Rams and their GM, Les Snead. As the deadline approaches, all eyes are on the Cleveland Browns to see if they might be willing to part with their star defensive player after June 1st. The Rams, known for their bold decisions, could be a team willing to offer substantial compensation, possibly multiple first-round draft picks, for the future Hall of Famer.

As of this past Sunday, credible reports linking the Rams to Garrett were scarce, with only speculative claims suggesting that Los Angeles had expressed interest. However, many analysts believe the Browns could be amenable to a trade due to recent tensions between Garrett and the organization. After a contract standoff in 2025, Garrett signed a lucrative four-year, $160 million deal in March but has since been absent from OTAs, hinting at ongoing frustrations.

The Browns made adjustments to Garrett's contract in an effort to create more cap space, and with the deadline looming, they could potentially trade him on June 2nd while saving over $8 million against the salary cap for 2026. Should they make a move sooner, they could face a $17 million cap hit, making the timing of a deal critical.

Experts speculate that the Rams might need to offer at least three first-round picks to secure Garrett, a hefty price even for a player of his caliber. With Garrett set to turn 31 in December and a significant financial commitment ahead, the Rams must weigh the potential benefits against the cost. They do possess all their future first-round picks, and if Snead is considering a trade, he might explore the market value of players like Byron Young and Terrance Ferguson to facilitate a deal without giving up too much draft capital.

A potential trade sending Myles Garrett to Los Angeles would be unprecedented, and given Snead's track record for bold trades, it's a scenario that could very well come to fruition.
