Rutgers Football Secures Commitment from Georgia Defensive End Dallas Ward

Rutgers football has strengthened its 2027 recruiting class with the recent addition of Dallas Ward, a defensive end hailing from McIntosh High School in Georgia. Ward made his commitment known on June 16, becoming the 21st recruit in this year's class.

Standing at 6 feet 3 inches and weighing 250 pounds, Ward chose Rutgers over competing offers from Michigan State and Minnesota. He is the second player from Georgia to join the Scarlet Knights, following safety Dextavion Reese's commitment earlier this month.

This commitment highlights Rutgers' growing success in recruiting talent from the southern regions, particularly Georgia. Dennis Dottin-Carter, the team's new defensive line coach, played a key role in bringing Ward aboard, having previously served as Minnesota's defensive line coach before joining Rutgers.

Amidst the evolving landscape of college recruiting influenced by NIL (Name, Image, Likeness) deals, Rutgers has managed to build a promising 2027 class, showcasing their strategic outreach efforts.
