Stephen Curry, hailed as the finest shooter in NBA history, is also making a case for his status among the greatest point guards ever. In a recent appearance on Gilbert Arenas’ show, he confidently placed himself in the top tier of this elite category, right alongside the legendary Magic Johnson.

When questioned about his ranking in the ongoing debate over the best point guard of all time, Curry stated, “Yes. I have to be. It’s me and Magic.” This assertion highlights his belief that he belongs at the forefront of the discussion, which traditionally includes icons like Jerry West, Oscar Robertson, and Isiah Thomas.

Arenas attempted to nudge Curry into claiming the title outright by referencing his influential presence both on and off the court. However, Curry acknowledged Johnson's greatness and emphasized that he is ready to continue competing at a high level. “I can go further,” he expressed, indicating his determination to build on his legacy with his longtime teammates.

Alongside Curry, the Warriors are gearing up for the upcoming season with head coach Steve Kerr returning after a significant deliberation. The franchise is also looking to add another playmaker to support Curry, who faces increasing pressure as he approaches the twilight of his career at 38. Insider Brett Siegle noted, “The Warriors are going to be targeting a guard this offseason at least one.”
