Terry Bradshaw Committed to Staying Active, No Retirement Plans in Sight
At 77 years old, Hall of Fame quarterback and Fox analyst Terry Bradshaw shows no signs of slowing down. Having been with Fox for over three decades, he remains enthusiastic about his career and has no intentions of retiring anytime soon.
In a recent discussion on Sports Business Radio, Bradshaw expressed his outlook on retirement, stating, “Retirement is not something that — I mean, I may not be with Fox. That would be their call, not mine. But I would still be speaking, but if not doing that, I’ll still work the bourbon trail.” His comments suggest that even if his time with Fox comes to an end, he plans to remain engaged in various pursuits.
Despite having contemplated retirement in the past, Bradshaw is focused on living life to the fullest. He referenced a quote from Billy Graham, saying, “the day that you retire is the day you start dying.” He believes that staying mentally active is crucial for longevity, noting, “I do think, for whatever reason, I believe you age, and people end up dying. I mean, people die within a year after retirement. So I don’t want to do that.”
While it is possible for the NFL to change its broadcasting partners after the 2029 season, Bradshaw's positive attitude remains unwavering. He emphasizes the importance of staying engaged in work, suggesting that for him, covering the NFL doesn't feel like a job at all.
With his commitment to remaining active, Bradshaw serves as a reminder that passion for one's work can contribute significantly to a fulfilling life.
