Texas Tech Softball Secures Commitment from Former Oklahoma Star Kasidi Pickering
The Texas Tech softball program has strengthened its roster in anticipation of a national championship run in 2027 with the addition of a notable player. Kasidi Pickering, a transfer from Oklahoma, officially declared her commitment to the Red Raiders on Thursday via her Instagram account. Although her transfer had been reported earlier, this marks her first public announcement regarding the move.
Pickering, who was honored as a first-team NFCA All-American in 2025, primarily played in the outfield during her tenure with the Sooners. Over the course of three seasons, she achieved impressive statistics, amassing 50 home runs, 169 runs batted in, and maintaining a .384 batting average.
A graduate of Atascocita High School in Humble, Texas, Pickering brings with her one remaining year of eligibility to Texas Tech. This addition is expected to bolster the team's offensive capabilities as they aim for future success.
