The Real Madrid star once again proved to be a standout performer as Brazil secured a convincing 3-0 victory over Haiti during the tournament's group stage on Friday night. Vinicius Jr. had an immediate impact, as his initial shot in the first half was thwarted by Haiti's goalkeeper, Placide, but the ball fell to Matheus Cunha, who netted the opener for Brazil with a scrappy finish.
The duo linked up again shortly afterward, with Vinicius Jr. setting up Cunha for a well-timed strike that doubled Brazil's lead. Adding to his remarkable performance, Vinicius Jr. showcased his finesse by scoring the team's third goal just before halftime, elegantly slotting the ball through Placide’s legs.
Throughout the match, Vinicius Jr. was a constant threat to the Haitian defense and was substituted in the second half to rest after his stellar performance. In a notable moment, young talent Endrick made his World Cup debut and nearly scored, but an offside call denied him the opportunity.
Brazil's next challenge is against Scotland in their final group match, where they aim to secure the top position in their group.
