Who does Tennessee softball play in super regional? NCAA bracket update

Tennessee softball is moving on to an NCAA super regional for the fourth straight season.

The No. 7 overall seed Lady Vols (45-10) swept the NCAA Knoxville Regional and will now face No. 10 overall seed Georgia (41-18) in the super regional. The two teams did not play each other during the regular season.

Tennessee will host the three-game series at Sherri Parker Lee Stadium. The schedule has not been announced.

The winner will advance to the Women's College World Series in Oklahoma City.

The Lady Vols beat Northern Kentucky 3-1 to open the Knoxville Regional on May 15 before winning 7-5 against Virginia, which was the No. 26 overall seed, on May 16. Tennessee faced Virginia again in the regional final and won 5-1 on May 17.

The Lady Vols have been to the WCWS two of the last three seasons, and they made it to the semifinals both trips. They faced Nebraska in the super regionals last season, Alabama in 2024 and Texas in 2023.

Before 2023, Tennessee hadn't been to a super regional since 2019.
