Anthony Williams, Three-Star Receiver, Chooses UNC for College Football

Three-star wide receiver Anthony Williams, who has made a name for himself at Oceanside Collegiate Academy in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, officially committed to the University of North Carolina on Sunday. This decision marks the 14th addition to the Tar Heels’ 2026 recruiting class and the eighth commitment secured within just one week.

Williams, standing at 6 feet 1 inch and weighing 200 pounds, opted for UNC over offers from East Carolina, Liberty, and Virginia Tech. His commitment adds to a rapidly growing list of recruits for North Carolina, which includes three-star quarterback Noah Spinks from Texas and multiple other talented prospects.

In his junior season, Williams played a pivotal role in leading Oceanside Collegiate to victory in the South Carolina Class 3A state championship. He recorded impressive stats with 61 receptions for 1,061 yards, averaging 17.4 yards per catch, and scored 12 touchdowns across 15 games. The previous year, as a sophomore at Fort Dorchester High in Summerville, South Carolina, he made 25 catches for 504 yards and three touchdowns.
