Boys state track and field standouts led by 5A Division 1 double winners
Here’s a look at the Upstate high school boys standouts at the SCHSL track and field state championship meets being held May 14-16 in Columbia.
Class 5A Division 1
State champions
Jamarius Brown, Dorman: Brown won the triple jump (14.46 meters) and was third in the high jump.
Grayson Crowe, Boiling Springs: Crowe won the 110 hurdles with the fastest time in the state this year at 14.02 seconds.
Torrean Davis, Spartanburg: Davis won the long jump (7.28 meters) and was third in triple jump.
Walker Ferguson, Mauldin: Ferguson won the javelin at 62.6 meters.
Chanin ‘Choo’ Harris, Byrnes: Harris won the 100 meters (10.40 seconds) and the 200 meters (21.28). His 100 time was the fastest time in the state this year.
Luke Hurley, Boiling Springs: Hurley won the 1600 meters (4:12.98) and the 3200 meters (9:16.89).

Caleb Berry, Mauldin: Third in pole vault
Jeremiah Calhoun, Boiling Springs: Third in 100, second in 200
Justin Elliott, Mauldin: Third in 400 hurdles
Hudson Kennemore, J.L. Mann: Third in 3200
Evan McCullough-Bryant, Dorman: Second in high jump
Jadon Roberson, Dorman: Second in discus
