The Denver Broncos are reportedly being considered as a possible destination for Stefon Diggs, a top free agent who nearly joined the team last offseason. The last time the Broncos faced Diggs, he was with the New England Patriots, leading them to a Super Bowl appearance after a decisive victory over Denver.

Diggs was released by the Patriots after just one season, a decision influenced by various off-field challenges he faced. With those issues now resolved, he is on the lookout for his next opportunity in the NFL. According to Jordan Dajani from CBS Sports, the Broncos could be in the mix for his services this offseason.

“Here’s an interesting landing spot. Diggs said himself he was close to joining the Denver Broncos last offseason,” Dajani noted. He pointed out that Diggs could reunite with former teammate Davis Webb, who has recently been elevated to offensive coordinator under head coach Sean Payton. While the Broncos traded for wide receiver Jaylen Waddle, Dajani argued that adding a player like Diggs could enhance the team's offensive capabilities.

Despite the allure of Diggs, the Broncos already boast a robust receiving corps. The addition of Hakeem Butler from the UFL further complicates their depth chart. While some might argue that boosting the roster could support quarterback Bo Nix, bringing in Diggs, who has faced scrutiny recently, might impede the development of younger receivers like Troy Franklin and Marvin Mims Jr.
