Browns Tight End Harold Fannin Jr. Misses Offseason Practices
The Cleveland Browns have wrapped up their offseason program, which saw the absence of a significant offensive player. Tight end Harold Fannin Jr. did not take part in any of the practice sessions, as reported by Zac Jackson of The Athletic.
Fannin had an impressive rookie season, appearing in 16 games with 13 starts, during which he recorded 72 receptions for 731 yards and six touchdowns, along with a rushing touchdown. However, there is no requirement for teams to disclose injury statuses during the offseason, and this obligation only begins in the first week of the regular season.
As a result, the reasons behind Fannin's absence remain unclear. Contract issues are not a factor, as he is not eligible for a new deal until after the 2027 season. His lack of participation raises concerns about his readiness for the upcoming season, particularly as he misses valuable practice time in the new offense being implemented by head coach Todd Monken.
