Chiefs Complete Signing of 2026 Draft Class Ahead of OTAs
The Kansas City Chiefs have successfully finalized contracts with all members of their rookie class from the 2026 NFL Draft. This milestone was celebrated with a post on their official Twitter account, highlighting the team's new additions.
The roster now includes first-round selections Mansoor Delane and Peter Woods, along with seventh-round pick Garrett Nussmeier, who will bolster the team's lineup on both offense and defense. While it is uncertain how frequently head coach Andy Reid will utilize these rookies in their inaugural NFL season, they will have the chance to acclimate to the Chiefs' playbook during the mandatory organized team activities (OTAs) starting June 9.
“Class is officially in session,” the Chiefs tweeted, signaling the beginning of their new players' journey.
As the Chiefs gear up for their offseason program, all drafted players—including Delane, Woods, Nussmeier, R Mason Thomas, Jadon Canady, Emmett Johnson, and Cyrus Allen—are expected to forge connections with seasoned teammates before the training camp begins in late July.
It will be intriguing to see how these first-year players perform during their initial NFL practice sessions.
