Coco Gauff Delights in FKA Twigs’ “Insane” Concert Before Berlin Open

Coco Gauff took a break from her rigorous training to enjoy an unforgettable night of music in Berlin. The 22-year-old tennis star, who is transitioning from a challenging clay season to the eagerly awaited grass-court matches, attended a concert by British artist FKA Twigs at the Velodrome on Friday evening.

While in the German capital, Gauff was seen practicing on the grass courts in preparation for the upcoming Berlin Open. The tournament's social media team shared footage of her training, welcoming the two-time Grand Slam champion to the event.

Gauff shared her experience on social media, posting a photo of FKA Twigs performing amid a cascade of confetti, which she described as an “outer body experience.” In another post, she included a wider view of the stage, showcasing Twigs and her backup dancers, tagging the location as Berlin and exclaiming, “@fkatwigs insane.”

For those who may not know, FKA Twigs, whose real name is Tahliah Debrett Barnett, is renowned for her innovative blend of R&B, avant-pop, and electronic music. Gauff attended the Berlin stop of Twigs' "Body High Tour," which follows the release of her recent albums “Eusexua” and “Eusexua Afterglow.” Twigs’ performances are celebrated for their captivating choreography and visual storytelling, which clearly resonated with Gauff.

This year, Gauff boasts a record of 26 wins against 10 losses, having reached the finals of two WTA 1000 events in Miami and Rome. After a quarterfinal finish at the Australian Open and a third-round exit at the French Open, she is eager to regain her footing. Gauff recently noted, “I feel like I’m practicing well, and when the moments get there, I’m not quite translating that,” reflecting on her experiences on the court. Now, with the Berlin Open and Wimbledon approaching, she aims to make a strong comeback and reclaim her spot in the top 5 of the WTA rankings.
